Good conditions
Tape grips best on a clean, dry panel at a mild temperature. Avoid direct sun and cold mornings, and let the truck sit overnight before driving in rain or running it through a wash.
Seating the keyhole covers
At each door, line up the keyhole opening with the lock, set the piece lightly, and look at it from a step back before pressing. Both doors of the two-door Colorado get the same treatment. Getting the first door right gives you a reference for the second, so the covers end up matching.
