Mounting
On the RX, the trim fits over the gas door as it is, with no drilling. According to QAA, the tape holds for a lifetime without any damage to the vehicle's surface.
Preparation
Inspect the fuel door's paint first. Fading, chips or lifting clear coat should be repaired, since the adhesive grips the paint. Then wash, rinse, and degrease the face, and let it dry. The door should latch and sit flush.
Fitting
Dry-fit the trim on the closed door, liner on, and shift it until the paint border is even. Mark the body with painter's tape. Peel, set, and press firmly over the full face. Repeat after a minute, then open the door slowly to make sure it clears. The Installation tab covers the rest.
Full package or partial?
If you want every window edge done, WP26125 is the simpler order: one listing covers upper trim, pillars and sills. WP26126 suits someone who already has pillar trim or wants to choose it separately, but its note is firm that it isn't meant to be used without a pillar kit. Either way, the gas door trim is independent and can go on first.
The finish
Polished 304 stainless reads as a bright, mirror-like accent against body color. At 26 gauge, the sheet stays thin on a door that has to close cleanly.
Upkeep
Install on a mild, dry day and keep it dry overnight. Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth; wipe off fuel drips.
