The Lincoln MKC 4-door SUV from 2015 through 2019 is the only vehicle on GC55640's Fitment tab, a span of five model years. This one-piece fuel door accent is made from 26 gauge 304 stainless steel with a polished finish, made in the USA, and it mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape.

GC55640 installs directly over the existing surface, and there's no drilling at all. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Since the bond is to the paint, the paint's condition decides how well it holds. Look for clear coat that's faded, flaking or bubbled, and for nicks along the door's edges, and get any of that repaired. Check that the door closes flush.
Here's the sequence. Wash the door, rinse, and dry it; then wipe the face with degreaser until the cloth is clean. Close the door and hold the trim against it with the liner still in place, shifting it until the paint showing around the outline is even. Put painter's tape on the body to mark the spot. Peel off the liner, place the trim to the marks, and press firmly across all of it; after a minute, press again. Open the door slowly to confirm clearance. The Installation tab has the details.
Polished 304 stainless has a bright, reflective surface, and at 26 gauge the overlay stays thin. Choose a mild, dry day and let the tape cure overnight. For upkeep, mild soap and a soft cloth, plus a wipe of any fuel drips.
