What an Upper Kit covers

The steel
The ten Extra Cab short bed pieces for the S-10 and S-15 are polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel from the USA, fixed over the existing surface with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA says the tape will hold for a lifetime without damaging the pickup.
Getting a level bottom edge
With an Upper Kit, the lower edge is visible against paint, so it needs to run true. Run a strip of painter's tape along each door exactly 5" below the molding as a guide, and keep each piece's lower edge on that line.
Prep
Wash, dry, and wipe with isopropyl alcohol under the molding. Repair chips first.
Sequence
Sort the ten pieces with the photos, label them, dry-fit, then peel and press one at a time, working front to rear.
Check the molding before you start
Because every piece hangs from the molding, the molding sets the line for the whole kit. Press along it on both doors. If any stretch lifts or wanders, reattach it first; a wavy molding makes a straight 5" band impossible.
Matching the sides
As you go, measure each piece's start and end from the door edges and keep them consistent. Step back from the front and rear of the truck to compare.
Care
Give it a day before the first wash. Mild soap, soft cloths, and no abrasive pads.
