TH87523 is an eight-piece polished stainless steel Lower Kit for the 1987-1995 Nissan Pathfinder 2-door SUV. It's 3" tall and "Spans from the bottom of the door UP to the specified width."

This is the lowest of them, a narrow band along the door bottom. It doesn't rely on the molding, so it's an option when the molding is damaged, missing, or you'd simply rather leave the area above it alone.
Seeing the height first
Put a strip of masking tape 3" up from the door bottom at the front and rear of each door, then step back. That line is where the top edge will sit. Try the same at 4.75" if you're weighing the two Lower Kits.
Material
The eight 3" Pathfinder strips are polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel from a USA shop, rising from the door bottom on 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime with no harm to the 1987-1995 Nissan.
Cleaning the bottom band
A 3" strip bonds right where road dirt and old wax build up.
- Soap and rinse the two-door Pathfinder's lower doors.
- A wax-and-grease remover clears any wax.
- Fix rust, chips or flaking paint.
- Alcohol-wipe each spot as its piece is about to go on.
Eight pieces
The record doesn't say how the eight pieces are arranged. Lay them out, compare with the photos, and write a position on each liner.
Dry fit
Tape each strip in place with its lower edge along the door bottom. Any tilt is easy to see on a narrow strip, so look down the side from each end, and open the doors to confirm clearance.
Bonding
Peel back a few inches of liner, press, and repeat, then go over the whole strip with firm pressure. Check the first pieces before you fit the rest.
Later pieces
Measure the gaps between fitted pieces and keep them consistent.
Conditions
A mild, dry day out of direct sun, with the panels warm. Don't wash for a day afterward.

Why a narrow strip
A 3" band covers only the very bottom of the doors, so most of the lower panel stays as it is. If you later decide you want more coverage, the 4.75" Lower Kit or one of the Full Kits goes higher, so it is worth marking each height on the door before you settle on one.
Fit one door completely first, then check the line before moving on.
