Product Description
Chevrolet Trailblazer 2002-2009 Short Style Stainless Fender Trim, 6 Pieces – WZ42290
WZ42290 is a six-piece Wheel Well Fender Trim set for the Chevrolet Trailblazer, 2002 through 2009, listed as 4-door, SUV. The record gives a 1.625" width and labels it Short Style.
Short Style vs Full Length
The linked WZ42291 is the Full Length version: four pieces, also 1.625", same Trailblazer fitment. This Short Style set has six pieces. The record doesn't give lengths for either or explain how the six pieces divide between the openings. Compare the photos of both listings with your SUV, and call 877-752-3811 if you can't tell which suits it.
Factory plastic flares
The installation line says the set does not fit models with factory plastic flares. Check your wheel openings: if there are plastic flares around them, this set isn't listed for your Trailblazer.
The steel
Six pieces of molded stainless, which the record grades high quality and lists as imported. QAA's finish wording is cut to perfection & polished to a mirror shine.
Lock tabs or screws
Both types of hardware come in the box, and the record lists clip-on or screw-in. Pick one and use it on all six pieces so they sit alike. The record gives no preference.
Measuring
Measure beside each wheel opening and compare with 1.625". With six pieces and no layout on the record, the photos are the only guide to where each piece goes.
Before ordering
Confirm the year, check for plastic flares, decide between Short Style and Full Length, and have SKU WZ42290 and the UPC ready if you call.
Planning the job
Choose a dry day and allow time to clean every opening before fitting. Lay the six pieces next to the Trailblazer in the order the photos show, and keep the hardware together in a tray.
Cleaning
Wash round each opening with mild soap and water, rinse, and dry. Wax-and-grease remover clears tar and old wax.
Fitting
Offer each piece up dry and compare it with its photo. When it lines up, fasten it evenly along its length. Work around the SUV one opening at a time.
On delivery
Count six pieces, and check that both lock tabs and screws are present.
After fitting
Walk around the Trailblazer from a few paces back. If any piece won't sit evenly, stop and phone QAA. Recheck the fasteners after a week, and keep spares in the cargo area.
Questions
Tell QAA your year, whether there are plastic flares, and which style you're leaning towards; they can confirm the right listing.
Care
Hand-wash the trim and pat it dry with a clean cloth.
Six pieces to place
With two more pieces than the Full Length set and no layout on the record, take care when unpacking. Lay all six out in the order the photos show, check each against its photo, and set aside any that looks different. Call QAA before fitting a piece you can't place.
Fit the front Trailblazer pieces before the rear ones.
