Older car, careful prep
The newest car on this row is a 2005, so the moldings and paint may have aged. Before ordering, walk around the car and look closely at the moldings. Cracked, faded or loose sections should be repaired or replaced first, because the tape needs a sound surface to bond to.
Fitting the strips
Clean the moldings with soap and water, dry, and wipe with rubbing alcohol to remove wax and old residue. Lay out the six strips next to the photos and label each liner with its position.
Dry-fit each strip with its liner on. Line it up with the molding edges and mark both ends with painter's tape. Peel the liner, set the strip on the marks and press firmly along its full length. Do one at a time and check from a few steps back that the line runs straight along the side of the coupe.
Read the Installation tab for the tape's temperature range and every step. Fit the inserts on a dry, mild day, then keep the 325Ci out of rain and its first wash while the bond settles.
Stainless care
Mild soap and water on a soft cloth is all the cleaning they need. Abrasive pads and steel wool will scratch polished stainless.
