The covers
Each cover is 26 gauge 304 stainless steel with a polished face. According to the record, the covers are polished 304 stainless, a finish that needs only mild soap and a soft cloth. The covers fix with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape directly over the existing surface: no drilling and no trim removal.
Before you start
Read the Installation tab for the tape's working temperature and cure time. Choose a dry day and a shaded spot, and gather mild car soap, a sponge, isopropyl alcohol, lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a pencil. A helper is useful for checking lines with six covers.
Fitting the six
Count the covers and look each one over against the photos. Call before going further if anything is bent or missing.
Wash the pillar faces, rinse and dry. Wipe each with isopropyl alcohol and let it flash off, and take off any wax or ceramic coating where tape will sit, because tape bonds best to a bare, clean surface.
Use the listing images to arrange the six ES covers. With liners on, hold each in position, line up its edges and mark them with painter's tape, noting the spot on the liner in pencil. Then fit one at a time: peel, set the cover on its marks, and press firmly along its length and both edges. Step back every couple of covers so the line stays even. The ES set's six covers are all polished stainless steel.
If a cover won't sit flush, leave the liner on and call 877-752-3811. After curing, wash with ordinary car soap and dry with a soft towel.
