Product Description
Six-Piece Stainless Pillar Post Kit, Volkswagen Taos 2022-2026 (PP72671)
PP72671 is the second step in QAA's range of pillar kits for the Volkswagen Taos. It has six covers of polished 304 stainless steel, made in the USA, for the 4-door Taos SUV from 2022 through 2026.
Before ordering: compare the photos
The Taos has five pillar kits in the catalog, with four, six, eight, ten, and fourteen pieces. This one is a modest step above the four-piece PP72670. QAA's data has no coverage note for any of the five, so it never states which posts this six-piece set dresses. Look at the product images for PP72671 alongside its siblings, and call if you want someone to talk it through.
A middle path
Six pieces bring noticeably more bright metal than the starter set without committing to the larger kits. For a lot of owners that is the sweet spot: visible from a distance, but still understated on a small SUV.
Construction
The covers are 26-gauge 304 stainless steel with a mirror polish. Since the shine is the metal itself, there is no plating to fail, and the six pieces match each other in tone.
Attachment and the tape
The six Taos pieces install over the existing surface with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. No trim is removed, so the original pillars stay as they were. QAA says the tape will hold for a lifetime without harming the Volkswagen.
Install the right way
- Wait for a dry, mild day.
- Clean the pillars with soap and water and dry them.
- Remove wax with a residue-free wipe.
- The six Taos covers each match a photo; line them up before any liner comes off.
- Dry-fit each one with the liner on.
- Peel and press firmly along the full length.
- Hold off on washing for a few days.
The Installation tab explains each step in detail.
Even spacing
Fit the Taos covers one at a time. Standing back after each cover and checking the line from the front and rear helps the six look like one set.
Fitment
Listed for the Volkswagen Taos 4-door SUV, 2022-2026. Confirm your year on the registration if you are not sure. The Fitment tab shows the details.
What pillar covers change
The pillars are the upright posts that frame the side windows. A polished cover gives each a bright border; it does not affect the doors, glass, or seals.
Care
Mild soap, a gentle rinse, and a soft towel are enough. Avoid gritty polishes on the mirror finish.
Choosing between neighbors
If you are torn between this kit and the eight-piece PP72672, start from how much bright metal you want to see. Six is the more restrained choice. Eight goes further. Because every Taos kit is sold as a complete set, two pieces cannot be bought on their own later, so it helps to decide up front. Check your registration for the year before ordering, and if you are buying for someone else, ask them.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 6 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
