Preparation
For each arch: rinse, wash, rinse again, dry. Wait for the lip to empty. Next, an inspection of the band the stainless will cover, end to end, with a torch at a low angle. Leave the clean band alone until fitting, and then give it one wipe of isopropyl alcohol.
Fitting
Hold up the first piece with the backing on. Tape both ends. From a step back, check the curve; from close up, check that the gasket sits snugly against the opening. Begin bonding at the bottom of one end, peeling back a short stretch of liner and pressing behind it. Carry on over the top of the arch to the other end. Press the whole piece firmly. Go to the next opening.
Arrival and care
When the parcel arrives, count four pieces and check each gasket edge, leaving the liners on until dry-fitting. After fitting, wait a day before washing; then mild soap and a soft cloth, with no pressure washer on the gasket. Any question about placement, call 877-752-3811.
