Preparing the 2001-2006 Optima
Look over the frame tops and pillars for old adhesive, wax or flaking paint and deal with any of it first. Wash and dry the sedan. Then clean each strip with a wax-and-grease remover and isopropyl alcohol just before its piece goes on.
Fitting
For each door, place the upper piece and then the pillar pieces lined up beneath it. Test every piece in position with the liner on and tape its ends with painter's tape as guides.
