Product Description
Escalade, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, Sierra and Yukon Chrome Door Handle Covers, 8 Pieces (DH54195)
DH54195 is an eight-piece chrome handle kit that QAA lists across GM's four-door trucks and SUVs from Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC. The covers are polished chrome-plated ABS plastic, imported, mounted with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. The note reads "Does not include passenger key access."
Seven listed vehicles
- Cadillac Escalade, 2015-2020
- Chevrolet Suburban, 2015-2020
- Chevrolet Tahoe, 2015-2020
- GMC Yukon, 2015-2020
- GMC Yukon XL, 2015-2020
- Chevrolet Silverado, 2014-2018
- GMC Sierra, 2014-2018
Every row is four-door, and every row shares one body list: SUV, pickup truck, XL, Extended Cab and "1500 LD Model only." That list isn't specific to each model, and we have flagged it. Silverado and Sierra owners should note the 1500 LD wording and call if their truck is a heavier model. The Fitment tab shows the rows as recorded.
This kit versus DH54196
QAA also lists DH54196, another eight-piece chrome kit for the same group, noted as including four smart key access points with cut outs. The choice comes down to your handles:
- Plain handles, no keyless-entry touch points: this kit
- Handles with keyless-entry sensors: DH54196
This listing's only note concerns the passenger lock, so it does not state whether any cover has a smart-key cutout. Compare the photos of both kits if you are unsure.
The passenger lock
The passenger-side cover has no key cylinder opening. If you use a lock on that handle, call before ordering.
Eight covers, four doors
The catalog does not label each piece. Sort the covers by door with the photos, then work around the Escalade.
The chrome
ABS plastic is molded to a handle's contour, then chrome-plated and polished. The factory handles keep working underneath.
Installing
QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Wash each handle, wipe it with degreaser, and let it dry. Dry-fit each cover, mark its position with painter's tape, then press it firmly along all edges for several seconds. The Installation tab spells out the prep.
Big vehicles, same routine
Whether the kit goes on a pickup or one of the SUVs on the list, the steps are identical. If the handles sit high for you, a step stool can put you at a comfortable height to press each cover squarely rather than at an angle.
Before you buy
Three checks cover almost every question we get on this kit. Confirm your model and year appear in the list above. Look at your handles for keyless-entry touch points, which would point you to DH54196 instead. And decide whether you can do without an opening at the passenger lock. If all three line up, this is the kit the catalog lists for your vehicle.
Weather and upkeep
Choose a dry, mild day in the shade, keep the vehicle dry overnight, and clean the chrome afterward with mild soap and a soft towel. Avoid abrasive pads.

Installation tips: Door Handle Cover Kit
- Unpack all 8 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
