The look
Nothing defines a front end like the grille. With an overlay, the factory grille stays put and gets covered. Chrome is the classic dress-up finish. It matches factory chrome elsewhere on many vehicles.
Attachment
Fitting type: tape-on. Your drill stays in the toolbox. A clean, dry, wax-free surface is the key step. Trim Illusion lists the material as ABS plastic.
Add-ons for your vehicle
Other Trim Illusion parts for the Kia Sorento: DH6363BLK (door handle cover, gloss black), MC6392BLK (mirror cover, gloss black), SM6100BLK (door molding set, gloss black). Check each listing's own fitment.
Fitment is the 2019-2020 Kia Sorento alone. Check your model year first.
Reference ABS488 when contacting us. Boxed, it measures near 45.0 x 12.0 x 7.0 in.
Have your VIN or trim handy and call 877-752-3811. Take your time on alignment. The photos are the best way to confirm the shape.
A normal car wash is all it needs. Factory parts in a different finish usually cost more.
Lay everything out in the order you will install it. Mark reference points with painter's tape if it helps. Take a photo; it is satisfying to compare before and after.
Hydro-dipping requires removing the parts first. It costs a fraction of shop work.
Treat it like the rest of the exterior. Automatic brush washes are harder on trim than hand washing.
Lower-48 delivery is free on this item. Your exact model year matters for this part.
It is a good choice if you are building a themed look. A second person helps with alignment on larger pieces. Passersby will notice the change, not the method.
The eye follows lines of trim around the body. It is a quick win for the overall appearance.
It gives this spot the same attention as the rest.
Open the box and check the contents against the listing first. Small alignment errors are easiest to fix before committing. Give it time before the first wash.
After installation, there is nothing special to maintain.
Compared with painting, a cover is the quicker route. No sanding or primer is involved.
Lease drivers often prefer add-on trim over permanent changes. Basic care and a steady hand are enough. It is a visible upgrade for a modest effort.

Installation tips: Grille Overlay
- Unpack the part and hold it in position to check the fit.
- Clean the mounting area with soapy water, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely. Wax or dirt will keep the tape from bonding.
- Dry-fit the part before removing any tape liner.
- Peel the liner, align carefully, and press firmly along the whole part.
- Avoid washing the vehicle for a day or so while the tape sets.
- Check the alignment against the photos when finished.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions included with the part if they differ.
