Product Description
Gloss Black Door Handle Covers, 8 Pieces, for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Double Cab (DH59170B)
Chrome isn't the only way to dress up door handles. DH59170B covers the handles of a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Double Cab in gloss black instead, eight pieces of polished gloss black plated ABS plastic. It suits a truck that already wears dark trim, or an owner who simply prefers a quieter look.
Which years? Read this first
QAA's only fitment row says 2019-2020, and the title gives the same years. An earlier copy of the title read 2019-2023, and we've flagged that difference. The row covers a 2019 or 2020 Silverado 1500 Double Cab, 4-door pickup truck. If your truck is a later year, please call before ordering. The Fitment tab shows the row as entered.
Another wording conflict
One of the catalog's bullet lines for this product describes chrome plated ABS, while the material field and title say gloss black. The title, material field and photos all point to black, but we've flagged the bullet too.
The chrome counterpart
DH59170, another 8pc door handle cover set for the same Silverado 1500 Double Cab, is cross-listed. This sheet doesn't spell out how the two differ, so line up both sets of photos or ask us.
Openings
No keyhole or smart key note appears. The catalog doesn't say whether any cover leaves a lock cylinder or touch sensor open. Check the photos against your handles. If your truck uses touch-to-unlock or you rely on a key cylinder, a call before ordering is wise.
Mounting
These Silverado covers go on directly over the existing surface. Each is held by 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, and QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without damaging the vehicle's surface.
Doing the install
Start with clean, dry paint: wash each handle area, wipe with degreaser and let it dry. Sort the eight pieces by door against the photos. Hold each in place, mark its edges with painter's tape, then press it firmly into position. Open each door once afterward to confirm nothing binds. The Installation tab covers prep in more detail.
Lining them up
Work one door at a time. When the first front and rear covers are on, step back and check that they sit at the same height before carrying on.
Before you buy
Confirm the cab is a Double Cab on a Silverado 1500, the year sits inside the fitment row, and your handles look like the ones pictured. The Crew Cab and heavy-duty trucks are not on this listing.
Timing
A mild, dry day out of direct sun is best. Let the truck sit dry overnight. Degrease waxed Silverado paint a second time.
Looking after gloss black
Dark gloss finishes show fine swirl marks more readily than chrome. Wash them with mild soap and a clean microfiber towel, and keep abrasive pads and gritty compounds away.

Installation tips: Door Handle Cover
- Unpack all 8 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
