Product Description
Cadillac Escalade 2002-2006 Grille Accent, 1-Piece, Imported (SGB42255)
SGB42255 is a one-piece grille accent for the Cadillac Escalade 4-door SUV, 2002 through 2006. It's listed as imported polished stainless, and the record doesn't describe how it mounts, which is the main thing to ask about before ordering.
One piece, no notes
The record gives the count, one, and no placement note, dimensions or pattern description. The product photos are the only guide to how it covers the grille.
Material
The listing describes high-quality stainless steel, imported, cut to perfection and polished to a mirror shine. No gauge or grade is stated.
Ask how it attaches
Mounting isn't described. Call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811 before ordering, and we'll explain what the installation involves and whether you'll need anything beyond what's in the box.
Escalade coverage
2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, 4-door SUV. No trim exclusions on this part. Note that one linked rocker kit is listed for the EXT, while this overlay lists only the 4-door SUV; EXT owners should call.
Linked Escalade parts
- HT42255: four-piece hood accent trim, a natural partner for a grille overlay.
- PP42255 four-piece pillar kit and DH42255 four-piece door handle covers.
- RT42255: two-piece tailgate accent at 3.25 inches, with handle cut-out; RW42255: two-piece rear window trim.
- TH42255: six-piece lower rocker kit, 4.125-4.375, between the wheel wells only. TH42256: ten pieces, same width, full length from wheel well to bumper front and rear. TH42258: twelve pieces, 4.2-4.4, full length, for the EXT.
These are separate listings; check each for its finish, origin and mounting method.
Choosing a rocker kit
The two SUV rocker kits differ in coverage: TH42255 covers between the wheel wells only, TH42256 runs the full length. Decide how much of the lower body you want trimmed.
Check the grille first
On an Escalade of these years, check the grille for fading or damage. The overlay needs a sound base; look it over and send a photo if you see cracks or repairs.
Clean and test-fit
Wash and brush out the grille, rinse, and dry. Hold the overlay in place and compare with the photos before any mounting step.
Front-end pairing
If you also fit the HT42255 hood accent, fit and mount the grille overlay first, then position the hood pieces so they line up with the finished grille. Look from straight ahead and from each front corner before committing.
Before you call
Have your model year, body (standard SUV or EXT), and a straight-on photo of your grille. Mention any front-end repairs or an aftermarket grille, since the overlay is cataloged for the factory grille shape. That lets us answer the fit and mounting questions together.
Care
Mild soap and a soft cloth; a light metal polish restores the mirror finish. Skip abrasive pads.
Origin
QAA's SG stick-on grille accents are listed as made in the USA; this grille accent is listed as imported. If origin matters to you, factor that in when comparing it with other front-end parts.
