Buick LaCrosse 2010-2016 Sedan Stainless Gas Door Trim (GC50520)
On the 2010-2016 LaCrosse 4-door sedan, GC50520 covers the fuel door in polished stainless. The LaCrosse overlay is a single USA-made piece of 26 gauge 304 stainless. 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape mounts the LaCrosse trim. Seven model years are covered by its one Fitment row.
GC50520 is not a replacement cap and not a replacement part. The 2010-2016 LaCrosse needs its existing gas door, because the trim mounts on it.
Three rocker kits for the LaCrosse
The cross-listed rocker trims differ in piece count, placement and width:
- TH50523: two pieces, on the rocker, installs below the door, 1.25 inches.
- TH50520: four pieces, on the rocker, installs below the door, 1.625-3 inches.
- TH50521: eight pieces, a lower kit spanning from the bottom of the door up to the specified width, with a cut-out for factory trim.

Wheel wells and pillars
WQ50520 and WQ50521 are four-piece wheel well accent sets. The first is "Cut to fit with Rocker kit sold separately"; the second is "Full Length." If you're also planning rocker trim, that note points you toward WQ50520, but call to confirm which rocker kit it's cut for. PP50520 and PP50521 are four- and six-piece pillar sets; QAA doesn't describe the additional pair.
Sequencing a bigger job
If you're putting on rockers, wheel well trim and the gas door piece, it's sensible to fit the rocker kit before the wheel well set marked cut-to-fit, since that set is meant to work with a rocker kit. The gas door trim is independent of both and can go on whenever you like, and because it's a single flat part it makes a comfortable warm-up.
Adhesive and paint
No drilling is needed: GC50520 installs directly over the existing surface. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Paint is the foundation, so check the door for clear coat that's dull or peeling, chips on the edges, and bubbles, and repair them beforehand. The door should close flush.
How to fit it
Wash, rinse and dry the door; then degrease until the cloth comes away clean. With the liner still attached, position the trim on the closed door until the visible border of paint is uniform, and mark it with painter's tape. Remove the liner, align, and press firmly over the whole face, then once more after a minute. Open the door slowly to make sure it clears. The Installation tab has more.
Finish and care
The polished 304 stainless is bright and reflective, and 26 gauge keeps it slim. Install on a mild, dry day and let it set overnight before getting it wet. Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth, and wipe off fuel spills.
