The steel
Avalanche 1500 and Suburban owners get ten full-length 5.5" pieces cut in the USA from polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, set below the molding on 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape over the existing surface. According to QAA, the tape will hold for a lifetime with no damage to the 2002-2006 Chevrolet.
Behind the rear wheel
The section between the rear wheel opening and the bumper is where this kit differs from a doors-only set. Dry-fit those pieces with special care. Their ends sit near curves, so make sure every edge lies flat before peeling.
Molding as the guide
Each top edge meets the molding. Press along it the whole length, including the rear section, and re-secure anything loose.
Ten pieces
Lay the Avalanche pieces out front to rear and label each liner from the photos.
Clean
- Wash below the molding, wheel well to bumper.
- Dry thoroughly; water hides near the rear wheel.
- Isopropyl alcohol wipe.
