Material and mounting
The full-length DTS sedan kit is twelve pieces of USA-made polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, fixed over the existing door surface with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. According to QAA, that tape will hold for a lifetime without harming the Cadillac.
Prep
Wash, rinse and dry the lower body from bumper to bumper. Wipe the whole band with isopropyl alcohol. Check bottom edges for chips.
Install sequence
- Dry-fit a full side with painter's tape.
- Step back and check the line front to rear.
- Set each piece: a few inches of liner, align the bottom edge, press along.
- Firm pressure over everything.
