Product Description
Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD 2016-2018 Stainless Fender Trim, 4 Pieces – WZ56181
WZ56181 is a set of four molded stainless steel wheel well trim pieces for the Chevrolet Silverado from 2016 to 2018. Its fitment names 2-door and 4-door pickups and limits the set to the 1500 LD only.
The 1500 LD limit
The record says 1500 LD only, and the title names the Silverado 1500 LD for 2016-2018. If you aren't sure whether your Silverado is the 1500 LD, confirm with QAA before ordering.
Material
QAA lists high quality molded stainless steel, imported, and says each piece is cut to perfection & polished to a mirror shine.
Hardware
Screw in installation, with screws included. No clips or lock tabs are listed for this set.
Linked grille overlay
SGC56184, a two-piece grill overlay, is linked. Its own record limits it to 2-door and 4-door pickups in LS and LT trim only. QAA doesn't say whether it shares the 1500 LD limit, so check your trim and ask QAA before buying it.
Which piece goes where
There's no width figure, and no piece is tied to a particular wheel. Use the photos to sort the four pieces before fitting.
Preparation
Wash the paint at each opening, dry it, and use a wax-and-grease remover to finish.
Fitting
Hold each piece up before any screws go in. When the shape follows the wheel lip and matches the photo, screw it down. A piece that won't line up stays loose while you call QAA.
Before buying
Confirm the year, the 1500 LD label, and that your openings match the photos. For questions, or if the record and photos disagree, call QAA at 877-752-3811.
Package contents
Four stainless pieces and screws.
Care
A gentle hand wash and a dry towel keep the polish clear of water spots.
The 1500 LD limit
The fitment row carries both 2-door and 4-door tags under that 1500 LD limit, so the record covers both door counts for those three years. When you call, have your cab and year ready and QAA can confirm.
Laying out the set
Before the first screw goes in, place all four pieces on a soft blanket beside the truck and line each up with its photo. A mismatch caught on the blanket is easy to sort out by phone; one caught after the screws are in takes far longer.
Order of work
Start at a front wheel, move to the rear behind it, then do the remaining two. Step back after every two openings to check the line of the trim against the body.
Keeping spare screws
Any screws left over can go in the glovebox in a small bag.
The grille question
If you are also considering SGC56184, read your trim badge first, because its record names LS and LT only. That limit is separate from the 1500 LD note on this set, and QAA can confirm both for your truck in a single call.
