Product Description
2016-2018 Chevy Silverado LS / LT Chrome ABS Grille Overlay, 2-Piece (SGC56184)
SGC56184 is a two-piece chrome plated ABS plastic grille overlay for the Chevrolet Silverado pickup, 2016 through 2018, in 2-door and 4-door form. The fitment line ends with "LS, LT only," so your trim decides whether this is the right part.
LS and LT only
The record names two trims and says "only." Silverados of other trims in these years aren't covered. If you aren't certain of your trim, check the window sticker or sales paperwork, or call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811 with your VIN.
Not split by series
The grille record doesn't say 1500 or heavy-duty. It names the Silverado, the two cabs and the two trims. If you have a heavy-duty truck, please call before ordering.
Material and origin
Chrome plated ABS plastic, imported. The bullet reads "High Quality Chrome Plated ABS Plastic - Imported." It is not steel, and no tape, gauge or made-in-USA claim applies.
Two parts
The count is two. The data doesn't describe where each sits or give sizes; use the product photos.
Attachment
The listing includes the word "Insert" and the line "Easy installation! Cut to perfection & Polished to a Mirror Shine," but doesn't say how the overlay attaches. Ask us first.
The linked wheel well molding
WZ56181, a four-piece wheel well fender trim molding, is linked to this listing. Its record is marked "1500 LD only," a restriction the grille record doesn't have, so read that listing's fitment carefully. Check it for its own material and finish as well; it may not match plated plastic.
Before fitting
Wash the grille, flush the openings with water and let it dry. Remove wax or protectant from the surfaces the overlay will touch.
Hand fit first
Hold both pieces in position before fixing either one. Check them from straight ahead and from each front corner, and correct any tilt now.
Handle with care
Plated plastic can chip if dropped on concrete. Work over a blanket or a soft surface, and set each part face-up when it isn't in your hands.
Cleaning afterward
Use mild soap, a soft mitt and a microfiber towel. Avoid compound, polish and abrasive pads, and keep pressure-washer spray at a distance.
Thinking about a grille swap?
If your truck's grille has been replaced with one from a different trim, the overlay needs to suit the grille that's on the truck now, not the trim on the paperwork. A photo helps us tell.
The call
Have your year, cab, trim and series ready, plus a straight-on photo of the front. We'll confirm the fit and explain how SGC56184 goes on.
In short
Two plated plastic pieces for 2016-2018 Silverado LS and LT pickups. Confirm trim and mounting first.
Why the trim limit exists
A trim limit on a grille part usually reflects a difference in the grille itself, although this record doesn't say what the difference is on these Silverados. That's why we confirm the fit with you first. If your truck is an LS or LT and wears its original grille, the photos should line up closely with what you see. If not, a call clears it up.
