Product Description
Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ 2014-2015 Chrome ABS Grille Overlay, 2-Piece (SGC54182)
SGC54182 is a two-piece chrome plated ABS plastic grille overlay for the 2014 and 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and the record limits it to the LTZ only. For the 1WT, 2WT and LT trims of the same years, QAA lists a separate overlay, SGC54184. Picking the right one comes down to your trim.
LTZ versus the other trims
The two listings are linked to each other. SGC54182 says "LTZ only." SGC54184 names the 1WT, 2WT and LT. Both are two-piece overlays for 2-door and 4-door 1500 pickups. The catalog doesn't describe how the two differ beyond the trim list, so if you aren't sure which you need, check the photos of each and call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811.
How to confirm your trim
Look at the original window sticker, the sales paperwork, or the trim badge if your truck still has it. We can also help decode it if you call with your VIN.
Material and origin
The record gives "Chrome Plated ABS plastic" and the bullet "High Quality Chrome Plated ABS Plastic - Imported." It's plated plastic rather than stainless steel. No adhesive or gauge is listed.
What "Insert" means here
One bullet simply says "Insert." The listing doesn't explain it further, and it doesn't describe how the overlay attaches. Ask us about mounting before you order.
Fitment in full
Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2014 and 2015, 2-door and 4-door pickup trucks, LTZ only. Heavy-duty Silverados aren't on this listing.
Two pieces
The kit contains two parts. Sizes and positions aren't in the data; the product photos show them.
Clean and dry the grille
Wash the grille, rinse the openings and dry thoroughly. A clean surface lets each piece sit where it should.
Trial fit
Hold both pieces up before fixing either. Check that they look even from straight ahead and from a few angles.
Gentle care
Use mild soap and a soft cloth. Keep polishing compound, metal polish and stiff brushes off chrome plating, and hold a pressure washer at a respectful distance.
Looking ahead
The two years covered are a narrow window. If you have a newer or older Silverado, this listing doesn't cover it; ask us what's available instead.
When you call
Tell us your year, cab and trim, and send a straight-on photo if you can. We'll confirm whether SGC54182 or SGC54184 is the right overlay and explain how it goes on.
Plated versus steel
If you'd prefer polished stainless, ask whether QAA lists a steel grille accent for your truck.
Why the split by trim?
When a listing is limited to one trim, it usually means the grille shape on that trim differs from the others, though this record doesn't spell out what the difference is. That's why we ask LTZ owners to buy SGC54182 and owners of the 1WT, 2WT and LT to look at SGC54184. If your truck has had its grille swapped for one from another trim, that changes the answer. Tell us when you call, and send a photo of the front so we can compare it with the overlay before you spend anything.
