Product Description
2014-2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1WT / 2WT / LT Chrome ABS Grille Overlay, Two Pieces (SGC54184)
SGC54184 is the chrome plated ABS plastic grille overlay QAA lists for the 2014 and 2015 Silverado 1500 in the 1WT, 2WT and LT trims, 2-door and 4-door. It comes in two pieces. If your Silverado is an LTZ, the linked SGC54182 is the listing for you instead. Unlike most QAA parts, this overlay is chrome ABS plastic, listed for the 1500 in the 1WT, 2WT and LT trims.
Three trims named
The fitment line names 1WT, 2WT and LT. It doesn't say "only," but no other trims are listed. Owners of any trim not on that line should call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811 before ordering.
The LTZ alternative
SGC54182 covers the LTZ only, in the same two years and cabs, also as a two-piece overlay. The catalog doesn't explain the difference in shape between the two. Compare both sets of photos with your truck.
What it is
Material: chrome plated ABS plastic. Origin: imported. The listing's bullets read "Insert," "Grille Overlay," "High Quality Chrome Plated ABS Plastic - Imported," and "Easy installation! Cut to perfection & Polished to a Mirror Shine." No dimensions, tape or mounting method are recorded.
Mounting: ask before ordering
Since the record doesn't say how the overlay attaches, a short call answers it. We'll explain what's involved on your truck and whether anything else is needed.
Year window
2014 and 2015 only. The listing is for the 1500; heavy-duty trucks aren't included.
Figuring out your trim
Work-truck trims and the LT can look similar from a distance. The window sticker or your paperwork is the most reliable reference. Your VIN can help too.
Sorting the pair
Lay both pieces on a soft towel and match them to the photos so you know where each belongs.
Clean surface
Wash, rinse and dry the grille. Remove wax film from the areas the overlay touches.
Hold before fixing
Position both pieces by hand and check them against the photos from a few steps back. Adjust before you commit.
Care for the chrome
Plating likes soft mitts and mild soap. Avoid compound, polish and scouring pads, which can wear the bright layer, and don't aim a pressure washer straight at it from close range.
Linked part
The only linked listing is SGC54182, the LTZ version.
A quick checklist
Year: 2014 or 2015. Model: Silverado 1500. Trim: 1WT, 2WT or LT. Cab: 2-door or 4-door. If all four match, this is the listing to look at. If any don't, call us.
Grille swaps and repairs
Pickups often get front-end repairs or grille swaps over the years. If yours has a grille from another trim, the overlay has to suit the grille that's actually there, so tell us. A clear, straight-on photo of the front of the truck usually settles it. Send one, or describe what you see, and we'll tell you whether SGC54184 or the LTZ listing fits better. We'd much rather sort that out on the phone than after the box arrives.
