The moldings under the strips
Each strip lays over an existing body side molding, so walk around the truck first and look at all of them. Missing, cracked or lifting moldings need fixing before the strips go on, and any replaced molding should be compared with the photos.

Fix any damaged moldings and remove old adhesive. Wash, dry and alcohol-wipe. Label all twelve liners by position. Dry-fit with liners on, mark both ends with painter's tape, then peel and press firmly from end to end. Fit a few, sight along them, then do the rest.
