Mounting
The trim installs directly over the existing surface, with no drilling. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Good paint is the foundation. Examine the gas door for chips, peeling clear coat, or fading and repair them first, and confirm the door closes flush.
To install, wash, rinse, dry, and degrease the door's face. Position the trim with the liner still on, adjusting until the paint border is even on all sides, and mark the spot with painter's tape. Finish and care
Polished 304 stainless is bright and reflective, and the 26 gauge sheet keeps the profile low. Install on a mild, dry day and let it cure overnight. Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth, and wipe up fuel spills.
