Mounting
On the Mustang, the trim goes over the gas door's existing surface, so nothing is drilled. QAA says the tape will hold for a lifetime and cause no damage to the vehicle's surface.
Paint check

Install
Wash, rinse, degrease, dry. With the door shut and the liner on, center the trim so the paint border is even; a helper standing back makes it easier. Mark the spot with painter's tape on the body.
