Truck-tough prep
Work trucks collect dirt, diesel or gas residue, and scrapes around the fuel door. Scrub the door face and edges with soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and wipe with degreaser until the cloth stays clean. While it's clean, inspect the paint. Placing it right
Close the door and hold the trim against it with the liner still on. Move it until the strip of paint visible around the edge is even everywhere. A second person holding it while you step back makes this faster. Mark one corner on the body with painter's tape.
Pressing it home
Peel the liner, line up with the mark, and press hard over the entire face, center to edges. Press again after a minute. Open the door slowly to confirm clearance. The Installation tab has full steps.
The stainless
Polished 304 stainless gives a bright, mirror-like accent. At 26 gauge, it's thin sheet that keeps the overlay low on the door.

- Unpack the piece and hold it in position to confirm the fit before mounting it.
