Product Description
PP18654 Twelve-Piece Pillar Trim Set, 2018-2024 VW Tiguan
Twelve pieces is the top count on the Tiguan sheet. PP18654 is a set of twelve polished 304 stainless pillar post covers for the 2018-2024 Volkswagen Tiguan 4-door SUV, priced at $117.49, and the largest of the five linked sets. Below it are PP18653 with ten covers, PP18652 with eight, PP18651 with six and PP18650 with four.
It's tempting to assume the biggest set simply covers everything, but the listing doesn't say that, and we won't either. None of the Tiguan sets name their pillars, list a width or carry any note. The piece count is the only stated difference. What twelve covers look like on your vehicle is shown in the photos, so check them carefully, along with the ten-piece gallery, before deciding. Questions about a particular cover go to Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811; say you're looking at PP18654.
One set is all you need. Twelve pieces is the biggest Tiguan set; if you're weighing it against another, check both galleries or call.
Here's the fitment, exactly as listed: Volkswagen Tiguan, 2018-2024, 4-door, SUV. The twelve-piece set carries the same 2018-2024 Tiguan row. If it's outside that range, call before ordering. It's also worth standing beside your Tiguan with the photos open on your phone and checking that each shape matches a panel.
The covers are 26 gauge 304 stainless steel, polished and made in the USA. There's no chrome plating; the shine is the steel. They attach with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape directly over the existing surface, so you won't be drilling the Tiguan or taking off any trim.
Twelve covers is a bigger job, and it rewards preparation. Set aside a dry, mild day and a shaded spot. Read the Installation tab for the tape's temperature range and cure time and work within both. You'll need mild car soap, isopropyl alcohol, lint-free cloths, painter's tape, a pencil and, ideally, a helper.
Begin with an inventory. Lay the twelve covers out on a towel and compare them with the photos. Anything bent or missing gets a phone call before any cleaning starts. Twelve covers come in the Tiguan set, every one polished stainless.
Prepare the pillars next. Wash, rinse and dry them, then wipe each face with isopropyl alcohol and give it a moment to evaporate. Tape needs bare paint or trim, so take any wax or ceramic coating off where covers will sit.
Now map the whole job before peeling anything. Hold each cover in position with its liner still on, line up the edges and mark them with painter's tape, then pencil the spot on the liner. With all twelve mapped, the order is easy to follow.
Fit one cover at a time: peel, place on the marks, and press firmly from end to end and along both edges. Have your helper look along the vehicle after every second cover.
A cover that won't sit right keeps its liner until you've called 877-752-3811. After curing, wash with mild car soap and dry with a soft towel.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 12 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
