The kit: car soap and a bucket, rubbing alcohol, lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a pencil. A helper at the front or rear of the Alero can judge whether each cover lines up.

With the liner on, hold each to its post, nudge it until the gap is even, and frame it in painter's tape. Peel, seat the cover in the frame, and press firmly along its length and both edges.
