Product Description
Six-Cover Stainless Pillar Post Trim for the Pontiac G6 Sedan 2005-2009 (PP45271)
PP45271 gives the 2005-2009 Pontiac G6 sedan six polished stainless pillar post covers. It's priced at $73.49 and made in the USA from 26 gauge 304 stainless. The record lists one row: Pontiac G6 2005-2009, tagged 4-door, Sedan.
Body and year. The row is for the four-door sedan from 2005 through 2009. A G6 made in 2005 through 2009 is what PP45271 covers. Note that RD47275, one of the linked rear deck accents, is tagged 2-door, Coupe; that tag is for that part only and doesn't extend this pillar set to the coupe. If your paperwork doesn't match the sedan row, call before ordering.
Linked G6 parts. PP45270 is the four-cover pillar set for the same sedan row. RD47270 is a rear deck accent tagged 4-door, Sedan, and RD47275 is the coupe-tagged one. All are sold separately.
Six versus four. No notes, post names or widths appear on either pillar listing. Number the six shapes in this gallery, find each one's post on your Pontiac, then look through the four-cover photos the same way. Choose whichever set dresses the posts you'd like in polished steel.
Questions. Quality Automotive Trims answers on 877-752-3811. Mention PP45271, your year and body, and we'll go through the shapes with you.
What they are. Six decorative covers for the posts beside the side glass. They don't touch the doors, windows or weatherseals. Their corrosion resistance comes from the 304 alloy, with no plated finish.
Attachment. Each bonds to the post's current paint or trim with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. The G6 isn't drilled, and no trim is taken off. See the Installation tab for the temperature range and cure time.
Getting the posts ready. The tape grips the outer layer, so start with that layer clean and sound. Take off wax and polish, and repair chalky, crazed or flaking paint. Wash with car soap, rinse, dry completely, and wipe each of the six posts with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths until a fresh fold stays clean. Check for dents while you're there.
On hand. Car soap and a bucket, rubbing alcohol, plenty of lint-free cloths, painter's tape and a pencil for labelling each cover by post. A helper makes six alignments quicker.
Fitting. Work in shade on a dry, calm day. Lay out the six beside the gallery and call us about any damage or missing piece. Label each on painter's tape. Liner on, hold a cover to its post, slide it until the gap looks even and tape around it. Peel, place it in the outline and press firmly along its full length and both edges. Look at it next to its photo before going on.
If one lifts. A G6 cover that won't close up along an edge, or that teeters on its post, should stay on its liner while you call 877-752-3811; we'll help you work out why. After the cure time has passed, keep all six bright with an ordinary car-soap wash and a soft towel to dry.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 6 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
