Product Description
Six-Cover Pillar Post Trim for the 2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan (PP48121)
Six polished stainless pillar post covers for the Chevrolet Cobalt sedan make up PP48121. The set is $84.49, cut from 26 gauge 304 stainless steel in the USA, and listed for 2005-2010. The fitment row reads Chevrolet Cobalt 2005-2010, tagged 4-door, Sedan.
Sedan, not coupe. This record is for the four-door Cobalt. A separate linked set, PP48122, has two covers and is tagged 2-door, Coupe. Look at the body and year; a coupe owner wants PP48122, and anything unclear is worth a call first.
Six against four. PP48120 is the four-cover sedan set. Neither sedan listing names posts or widths, and there are no notes. Open both galleries and find the posts that only this six-piece set covers; that difference, and how much of the sedan's side glass you want framed in polished steel, is the basis for choosing.
Match before you peel. Six shapes are best sorted at the car. Hold each photo beside its post, decide where every piece goes, and put to one side anything that won't line up, or that looks scuffed or bent out of the packaging.
Call us. Quality Automotive Trims, 877-752-3811. Quote PP48121, the year and the body style, and we'll go over the six shapes with you, or help you decide between this and the four-cover sedan set.
Cosmetic. The six frame posts around the sedan's side glass while the doors, windows and weatherstrip carry on as normal. 304 stainless keeps corrosion away by its makeup; no plating is used.
Attachment. Every cover mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape onto the paint or trim currently on its post. No holes, and no trim comes off. Temperatures and cure time are on the Installation tab.
Preparing the posts. Each of the six needs wax, polish and sealant removed, and any powdery, cracked or peeling paint fixed beforehand, since the tape grips that layer. Wash with car soap, rinse and allow a full dry. Wipe each post with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloth, turning to fresh cloth until it stays clean, and feel for dents.
Supplies. Painter's tape and a pencil for six numbered tabs, rubbing alcohol, a bucket of soapy water and a stack of lint-free cloths. A second person checking from a step back keeps the lines true.
Fitting. Choose a windless, dry day and park in shade. Lay the six beside the gallery and report anything bent or missing. Number each post with painter's tape. One at a time with the liner on, hold a cover to its post, ease it until the margin is even and box it in with tape. Peel, settle it into the box and press firmly along the face and down both edges. Compare it with its photo before the next.
If one won't settle. When a Cobalt cover tips or leaves daylight at an end, stop with its liner still attached and ring 877-752-3811; we'll work it out with you. After the cure, car soap, water and a soft towel keep all six bright.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 6 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
