Prep. Six posts means six finishes to check, and each cover holds only as well as the surface beneath it. Look and feel for a chalky bloom, crazing, an edge that has lifted or a film of wax on every post, and fix those first. Wash, rinse, dry fully, and wipe each with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths until a fresh one stays white. A step stool helps on an SUV if the upper edges are out of easy sight.
Kit. Car soap and a bucket, rubbing alcohol, a generous stack of lint-free cloths, painter's tape, a pencil and a clean towel. A helper is worth having to keep the six covers in order and to judge them from beside the vehicle.
Fitting. On a dry, still day with the FX in shade, check all six against the gallery and call about anything bent or short. Set the six FX covers out in the order the images give. Backing on, hold each cover to its post, adjust until the gap is even all round, and outline it with numbered painter's tape. Outline all six before peeling. Then one at a time, peel, set the cover in its outline, and press hard along the length and both edges. Step away every couple of covers to check them.

Afterwards. When the cure time is over, wash the covers with car soap along with the paint and dry them with a soft towel.
