Effect. A bright face for each post between the side windows, nothing more. Doors, glass and seals are untouched. The 304 grade resists corrosion by itself, with no plated layer sitting over the steel.
Mounting. All six mount with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape onto the Maxima's posts, with no drilling and no trim removed. See the Installation tab for the temperature range and cure time.
Surface. Because the tape only grips what's on each post now, check all six for a chalky dust, crazing, a lifted corner or a film of wax, and fix any you find. Then wash, rinse, dry well, and rub each post with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths until a fresh one comes away white.
Kit. Car soap, a bucket, alcohol, plenty of lint-free cloths, painter's tape, a pencil, a clean towel to hold the six covers in order and a helper to watch alignment from beside the sedan.
Method. On a still, dry day in shade, compare each cover with its photo and call about any damage or shortage. Lay out the six on the towel against the photos. With backings on, place each cover on its post, ease it until the margins match, and trace it with painter's tape, completing all six tracings before peeling. Then two at a time: peel, seat the cover in its tracing, and press hard along the length and both edges. After every couple of Maxima covers, look along the side.
Trouble. A cover that bridges or rocks over its post gets set aside, backing intact, while you call us on 877-752-3811.
Care. After the cure time, the six are washed with car soap together with the Nissan's paint and dried with a soft towel.
