Product Description
Equinox & Torrent 2005-2009 Eight-Cover Pillar Post Trim (PP45162)
PP45162 is the eight-cover pillar set for two SUVs: the Chevrolet Equinox 2005-2009 and the Pontiac Torrent 2005-2009, each tagged 4-door, SUV. The title names both, so Torrent owners can see at a glance that the page covers them. All eight covers are polished 26 gauge 304 stainless, made in the USA, and the set is $100.99.
To check fit, look for three things: Chevrolet Equinox or Pontiac Torrent, a year from 2005 to 2009, and the four-door SUV body. If they're all there, the listing applies. If not, or if you're uncertain, phone us before ordering.
Eight covers is the most of the three linked pillar sets for these rows; PP45161 has six and PP45160 has four. No notes, post names or widths are given on any of them, so the galleries carry the comparison. Number the eight shapes here, one to eight, and locate each one's post on your SUV. Then do the same with the smaller sets and choose the one that matches the posts you'd like in stainless.
Quality Automotive Trims picks up on 877-752-3811. With PP45162, your make and your year, we can go through the eight shapes with you, which is easier than sorting them from photos on your own.
Each cover is decorative trim for a post around the side windows. Doors, glass and seals carry on as before. Corrosion resistance is part of the 304 alloy, with no plating that could wear.
The eight attach with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape that bonds to the posts' current paint or trim. You won't drill the Chevy or Pontiac and you won't remove any trim. The Installation tab has the temperature range and the cure time.
Eight posts need the same careful preparation. Get all the wax and polish off. Repair paint that's chalky, crazed or flaking, since the tape will hold to it. Wash with car soap, rinse, dry thoroughly, and wipe each post with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloths until a fresh fold shows nothing. Run a hand along each post to find dents.
For the job you'll want car soap and a bucket, rubbing alcohol, a large supply of lint-free cloths, a full roll of painter's tape and a pencil to number each cover. Eight alignments go far quicker with a helper.
Begin in shade on a dry, windless day by laying the eight beside the gallery; if any is bent or missing, call us before carrying on. Number each one on painter's tape for the post its photo shows. With its liner on, try the first cover on its post and move it until the margin looks equal, then tape its outline. Peel, set it inside the outline and press firmly along its length and both edges. Check it against the photo before moving to the next number.
If one of the eight bridges a hollow or rocks, keep its liner on and ring 877-752-3811. Once cured, wash them with car soap and water and dry with a soft towel.

Installation tips: Pillar Post Trim
- Unpack all 8 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
