Appearance only. Doors, windows and weatherstrip work exactly as they did. The 304 stainless keeps corrosion off through its composition, not a finish layer.
Tape, no tools. The eight covers mount with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape straight over the posts' present surface. No drilling and nothing removed. Check the Installation tab for the temperatures and the cure period.
The posts first. On all eight, remove wax and polish, and put right any paint that's chalking, crazing or peeling. Wash in soapy water, rinse and dry. Wipe each one with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloth, turning the cloth until it stays clean, and run a fingertip along for dents.
Then the covers. Find a dry spot out of the sun and wind. Lay the eight out next to their photos, the cut-out one included, and report any damage at once. Number each post on painter's tape to match its cover, and keep the pencil handy for notes. Working singly, keep the liner on, offer the cover up, ease it until the gap round it is even and box it in with tape. Remove the liner, place the cover within the tape and press hard along its face and both edges. Look it over from a step back, checking the gap is even all round, before the next.
Problems. Keep the liner on any cover that won't settle and call 877-752-3811. After curing, clean with car soap, water and a soft towel.
