Material
For the 2013-2018 Avalon, four 1" arch strips of USA-made polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel are pressed on using 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime and the Toyota's paint stays unharmed.
Preparing the openings
Wash and dry each wheel opening. Look for old adhesive, wax or loose paint where the stainless will sit and take it off. Wipe each strip with a wax-and-grease remover, then isopropyl alcohol, just before its piece.
Fitting
Mark corners on the liners from the photos. With the liner on, hold a piece against its arch, tape both ends with painter's tape and check the gasket line. Then peel a short length, press the end down and carry on around the curve. Fit a second opening and compare before going on.
Four pillar sets, two triangles
If you're choosing pillar trim for the Avalon too, the notes matter. PP13165 (4) and PP13166 (6) carry no note. PP13167 (8) "Includes Rear Triangle piece", and PP13168 (10) "Includes Front Triangle piece". The record doesn't say whether the ten-piece set also includes the rear triangle.
