Cleaning the hatchback's arches
A kneeling pad helps you see the lower ends well. Clean one opening at a time: hose out grit, wash with car shampoo on a soft mitt, rinse and pat dry, then let it drain. With a lamp angled along the band, check the 0.875" strip for wax, leftover adhesive and stone chips and remove each one. Wax-and-grease remover across the band, then isopropyl alcohol right before fitting.
Fitting the four
- Write each corner on its liner using the photos.
- Begin at one of the rear openings. Tape the piece up with its liner still on.
- Check that the Cruze gasket follows the opening evenly.
- Peel a short length at the front end of the arch, press it down, and work rearward in short steps.
- Press the full length again, then fit the remaining rear, then the fronts.
Arrival and care
