Preparing for a thin band
A 0.281" piece has very little tape, so the strip it sits on must be perfect. Rinse each opening, shampoo, rinse and dry, then let it drain. With a lamp held close, inspect the narrow band and the very edge of the opening for wax, glue and chips, and remove each. Wax-and-grease remover, then isopropyl alcohol just before each piece.
Fitting slim pieces
Handle each thin piece by both ends. Tape it in place with the liner on and check its edge line against the opening along the whole arch. Peel a short length of liner at one end and press with a fingertip, then work round slowly, keeping the line even. Press the full length again.
Arrival and care
Count four pieces and check for kinks on arrival. After fitting, a day before washing; then mild soap and a soft cloth, never pressure-washer spray on the stainless edges.
On the day
Lay the four thin XT6 pieces flat beside the photos with liners on, and have painter's tape, a plastic scraper, both cleaners and a lamp ready. If TH60210 is part of the job, fit it first.
