Product Description
Ford Five Hundred 2005-2007 Stainless Window Trim Package WP45490, Upper Trim & Pillar Posts with Keyless Entry Cut Out, 12 Pieces
WP45490 is a twelve-piece polished stainless steel Window Trim Package for 4-door sedans in the Ford Five Hundred family. The note reads "Includes Upper Trim and Pillar Posts, NO Window Sills, With Cut Out for Keyless Entry".
Four sedans on one fitment
The title and the fitment list the same four sedans: the Ford Five Hundred 2005-2007, the Ford Taurus 2008-2009, the Mercury Montego 2005-2007 and the Mercury Sable 2008-2012. If you own one of the other three, go by the fitment, compare the photos with your doors, and call 877-752-3811 with your model and year if you're unsure.
The keyless entry cut out
One feature sets this listing apart: a cut out for keyless entry. The record doesn't say which piece carries it or exactly where it sits; the photos show the shape. Before ordering, check that your sedan has the keyless entry feature the cut out is meant to clear. If you're not sure, call 877-752-3811 before buying.
What the twelve cover
Upper trim and pillar posts, with no sills. The split between the two groups isn't given. The record links no sibling parts to this package, so there's no separate sill or pillar set listed alongside it.
Construction
Each of the twelve pieces for the Five Hundred, Taurus, Montego and Sable starts as polished 26 gauge 304 stainless steel in the USA and bonds over the upper trim and pillars with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA says the tape will hold for a lifetime without damage.
Sorting
Separate upper from pillar pieces and order each group by door. Find the piece with the keyless entry cut out and match it to its door first, since its position is fixed. Then place the rest with the photos open, pencilling each position on its liner.
Prep and fitting
Clean old adhesive, wax and loose paint from the frame tops and pillars, wash and dry the car, and wipe each strip with a wax-and-grease remover and isopropyl alcohol right before its piece. On each door, fit the upper piece first and the pillars against it. Dry-fit with the liner on and painter's tape at the ends, close the door gently, then peel a short section and press along. On the cut out piece, check that the cut out lines up with the keyless entry before any tape touches the paint.
Care
No washing for a day; after that, a soft cloth and mild soap.
Which sedan do you have?
Because four nameplates share this package, note your exact model and year before ordering. The Taurus is listed for 2008-2009 and the Sable for 2008-2012, while the Five Hundred and Montego are listed for 2005-2007. A sedan outside those years isn't covered by this record.
Counting
Check all twelve against the photos as soon as the box is open, and find the cut out piece then too. If it isn't there, call 877-752-3811 before going further.
One twelve-piece set, WP45490 (UPC 691821542307), covers the Five Hundred, Taurus and Sable. Phone 877-752-3811 for help.

Installation tips: Window Trim Package
- Unpack all 12 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place directly over the existing surface, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
