Laying out the set
Open the box somewhere flat and clean. Separate the upper pieces from the pillar pieces, then order each group by door. Walk around the Sportage with one door's pieces at a time, holding them up to the windows next to the photos, and mark each liner with its door and position.
Getting the surfaces ready
Check the frame tops and pillars for anything the tape can't grip: old adhesive, wax or flaking paint. Remove it, wash the SUV and let it dry. Just before each piece, wipe its strip with a wax-and-grease remover, then isopropyl alcohol.
On the SUV
Take the doors one by one. Fit the upper piece first; the pillar pieces on that door then line up against it. For each one, hold it in position with the liner on, put painter's tape at the ends, and close the door slowly to make sure it clears. Peel back an inch of liner, set that end on its mark, and press along as the rest of the liner comes away. Step back after each door and check that the line looks even before moving on.
Care afterwards
Wait a day before washing. Then use mild soap and a soft cloth. If any of the twelve won't follow the Sportage as the photos show, leave its liner on and call 877-752-3811.
Sills on this Sportage
