Product Description
Trim Illusion Gloss Black Grille Overlay for 2021-2026 Honda Ridgeline & 1 more (ABS6838BLK)
ABS6838BLK is a gloss black grille overlay built by Trim Illusion for the 2021-2026 Honda Ridgeline. Several more vehicles share it. There are three pieces in the box.
Appearance
A front end is mostly grille, from most angles. With an overlay, the factory grille stays put and gets covered. Gloss black is the usual pick for blacked-out builds. It is a good fit if you never liked factory chrome.
Add-ons for your vehicle
Related listings: MC278 (mirror cover, chrome), MC6370BLK (mirror cover, gloss black). Check each listing's own fitment.
How it mounts
This one attaches with tape. No factory parts come off. Dry-fit before peeling any liner. ABS plastic is the material.
Also fits
Fitment covers 2021-2026 Honda Ridgeline and 2022-2025 Honda Passport. Shared platforms explain the overlap.
Compatibility notes
Sub-model: Only EXL for Passport.
Expect a box about 33.0 inches long. Order and support questions go fastest with ABS6838BLK. Photos show the part installed; match them to yours.
Our team at 877-752-3811 can check fit before you order. Treat it gently, as you would clear-coated paint.
Factory parts in a different finish usually cost more. Lay all pieces out before starting.
One mismatched part can stand out more than you expect. It is an easy place to start.
We cover shipping costs to the continental US. Ordering the right part the first time avoids returns.
Body shops charge by the hour for finish changes. There is no paint booth involved.
Day to day, it needs no attention beyond washing. Avoid pressure-washing edges at close range.
Start by matching each piece to its position on the vehicle. Work from one side to the other in a consistent order. Give it time before the first wash.
It is aimed at drivers who like a personalized vehicle. Expect the job to take less time than a car wash and wax. The finished look is clean and intentional.
After installation, there is nothing special to maintain. Automatic brush washes are harder on trim than hand washing.
The eye follows lines of trim around the body. It is one step toward a cohesive look.
It makes sense for a vehicle you plan to keep a while. Most people finish it in one session. It photographs well, which matters if you sell later.
Aftermarket replacements often need cutting or drilling.
Open the box and check the contents against the listing first. Take a photo; it is satisfying to compare before and after.
Shipping is free within the contiguous United States. Double-check fitment before checkout.

Installation tips: Grille Overlay
- Unpack all 3 pieces and match each one to its position using the product photos.
- Clean the mounting area with soapy water, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely. Wax or dirt will keep the tape from bonding.
- Dry-fit the part before removing any tape liner.
- Peel the liner, align carefully, and press firmly along the whole part.
- Avoid washing the vehicle for a day or so while the tape sets.
- Check the alignment against the photos when finished.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions included with the part if they differ.
