Product Description
Trim Illusion Gloss Black Mirror Covers for 2016-2022 Honda Pilot & 2 more (MC6278BLK)
For owners of a 2016-2022 Honda Pilot, MC6278BLK offers an easy finish change: a gloss black mirror cover set by Trim Illusion. It also fits other vehicles, all shown in the Fitment tab. Trim Illusion packs two pieces in this set.
Getting it on
MC6278BLK is tape-on. Your drill stays in the toolbox. Most of the work is cleaning and lining it up. Material: ABS plastic.
What to confirm
Mirror coverage is top. Mirror signal note: No Turn Signal.
Pairs well with
Other Trim Illusion parts for the Honda Pilot: DH6230BLK (door handle cover, gloss black), WSK827-18BLK (wheel skin set, gloss black), DH6340BLK (door handle cover, gloss black). Fitment differs by part, so verify each.
Visual impact
Few trim parts are as visible as the mirror caps. Covering them is a quick visual change. Gloss black gives a deeper, more uniform appearance. It ties trim to dark wheels and glass.
Also fits
All 3 listed vehicles: 2016-2022 Honda Pilot, 2017-2026 Honda Ridgeline and 2019-2026 Honda Passport. Shared platforms explain the overlap.
Write down MC6278BLK for your records. There is no body shop visit involved.
Not sure it fits? Call us at 877-752-3811. Photos show the part installed; match them to yours. Rushing is the most common mistake.
It ships at about 2.0 lb. Use a microfiber towel to dry it.
Lower-48 delivery is free on this item. When in doubt, ask before you buy.
It is aimed at drivers who like a personalized vehicle. You do not need special skills to get a clean result. Done well, it looks like it came from the factory.
Accents work best when they repeat around the vehicle. It is one step toward a cohesive look.
It does not ask for anything beyond normal care. A gentle rinse after winter driving helps.
Hydro-dipping requires removing the parts first. The vehicle stays drivable the whole time.
Read any instructions in the package before beginning. Hold each part in place to confirm the shape lines up. Give it time before the first wash.
Consistency is the goal with exterior trim. It brings this area in line with the rest.
Keep wax and polish off the edges where possible.
Fleet and work-truck owners use trim like this to freshen older units. Basic care and a steady hand are enough. The result reads as a deliberate design choice.
It costs a fraction of shop work.
Inspect each piece before installation day. Small alignment errors are easiest to fix before committing. Take a photo; it is satisfying to compare before and after.
Orders to the lower 48 ship at no charge. The Fitment tab is the final word on compatibility.

Installation tips: Mirror Cover
- Unpack all 2 pieces and match each one to its position using the product photos.
- Clean the mounting area with soapy water, then wipe with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely. Wax or dirt will keep the tape from bonding.
- Dry-fit the part before removing any tape liner.
- Peel the liner, align carefully, and press firmly along the whole part.
- Avoid washing the vehicle for a day or so while the tape sets.
- Check the alignment against the photos when finished.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions included with the part if they differ.
