What it changes
Side mirrors are hard to miss from the front or side. It is one of the most noticeable changes for the cost. Gloss black is the usual pick for blacked-out builds. Many owners pair it with a sport or night package look.
Putting it on

It suits anyone tired of the stock appearance. Most people finish it in one session. It changes the vehicle's character in a small but clear way.
Wrapping complex shapes takes practice. There is no paint booth involved.
The eye follows lines of trim around the body. It is a quick win for the overall appearance.
Small finish changes add up across a vehicle. This part handles one piece of that puzzle.
It is a good choice if you are building a themed look. Plan a calm afternoon rather than a rushed half hour. Done well, it looks like it came from the factory.
Check that the finish is what you expected before you begin. Work from one side to the other in a consistent order. Clean up with a soft cloth at the end.
A molded cover follows contours that wrap struggles with. No sanding or primer is involved.
Normal cleaning keeps it looking right. Road salt rinses off easily with plain water.
