2008-2012 Honda Accord Coupe Chrome Door Handle Covers, 4 Pieces (DH28251)
Two doors, four pieces of chrome. DH28251 is the coupe version of QAA's chrome handle kits for the 2008-2012 Honda Accord, made of chrome plated ABS with a polished finish and imported. It covers the handles on the 2-door coupe, and the catalog note reads "Does not include passenger key access."
Coupe or sedan: pick the right kit
QAA splits its Accord handle covers by body style:
- DH28251 (this kit): four pieces, 2-door coupe
- DH28281: eight pieces, 4-door sedan
Both share the same note about passenger key access. The difference is the door count, and the piece count follows it. The sedan kit on a coupe would leave you with spare pieces; this kit on a sedan would leave two doors bare.
Fitment
Honda Accord, 2-door coupe, model years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. The Fitment tab shows the row exactly as QAA lists it.
Passenger side
The passenger handle cover has no keyhole opening. If you only lock and unlock from the driver side, you will not notice. If you use the passenger keyhole, factor that in.
Four pieces
On a coupe with two door handles, four pieces works out to two per handle, covering the handle and the area around it. The catalog does not label each piece, so the product photos are your placement guide.
Chrome plated ABS
ABS is molded to wrap each handle, then chrome plated and polished. So a cover kit turns the whole handle chrome, where flat accent trim only highlights the area beside it. The parts are imported.
Install
The covers attach with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. Clean each handle with a degreaser and let it dry, dry-fit the cover, then press it firmly for a few seconds. With just two doors, the work is short. The Installation tab has full instructions.
Coupe companion part
QAA lists TH28251, a two-piece rocker panel trim that installs on the rocker below the door, 1.25" wide, for the same coupe. A chrome handle and a bright rocker strip together accent the long side of a two-door. The other parts on the sibling list, including GC28281, RB28281, RD28281, TH28281, and WQ28281, are listed for the 4-door sedan, so they are not cataloged for the coupe.
Why chrome on a coupe
On a coupe, the handles are the main detail breaking up the door. Chrome turns them into an accent that catches light as you walk up, and because the covers go over the existing handles, they still open the doors exactly as before.
Before you order
Confirm your Accord is the coupe and that it is from 2008 through 2012. Check the passenger handle for a keyhole you use. If all of that lines up, this kit is the one QAA lists for your car.
