This kit's note says nothing about smart key openings, so if your Renegade has keyless-entry touch points on its handles, DH55071 is the one designed with openings for them. If your handles are plain, this is the simpler choice. Neither kit has a passenger key cylinder opening.

Look at the front handles. Do you see a keyless-entry touch area? Is there a lock on the passenger side that you rely on? Those two answers decide which kit to order, or whether to call us first.

How it goes on

- Degrease, then give everything time to dry.
- Sort the eight covers by door using the photos.
- Start by trying each cover against its handle with no pressure.
- Then press firmly along all edges for several seconds.

Finish one front door first, check it from a few steps back, and use it as the template for the other three doors.
Placement marks
During the dry fit, put two or three short strips of painter's tape around each cover. The foam tape grabs the moment it touches paint, so those marks let you drop each cover into position in one clean move instead of sliding it around.

Door handles are at eye level and touched every day, which makes them one of the most noticed details on the side of an SUV. A full set of chrome covers brightens the whole profile, and the job needs nothing more than cleaning supplies and an afternoon.
Conditions
Choose a mild, dry day in the shade. If the paint was recently waxed, degrease twice. Keep the Renegade dry overnight.
