Purpose. The four covers are decorative. They sit over posts beside the side glass and don't alter how the Jeep's doors, windows or seals work. The 304 alloy resists corrosion in its own right, without a plated layer.
Mounting. Each cover mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape pressed directly onto the existing post surface. No drilling, and nothing is removed from the Renegade. The Installation tab lists the temperature window and cure time.
Before you start. Wash each post with car-soap water, rinse and dry it right through. Lift off any wax, sealant or polish. Repair paint that's chalky, cracking or flaking, because the tape grips that coat and can't outdo it. Wipe each post with rubbing alcohol on lint-free cloth, refolding until nothing comes away, then feel along for dents. Have low-tack painter's tape, a pencil and a clean towel ready.
Fitting. Choose a dry, calm day and work in the shade, with the Jeep parked somewhere you can move all round it. Lay the four beside the gallery and report any damage at once. Dry-fit each with its liner on, adjust until the border is even, mask the outline and number each mask. Fit them one at a time: liner off, into the mask, firm pressure along the whole length and both edges. When all four are on, remove the masks and check each margin from a step back.
If a cover won't seat. Keep its liner on and phone 877-752-3811 rather than forcing it onto your Renegade's post. After the cure period, wash the Jeep's covers with car soap and water and dry them with a soft towel.
