Product Description
QAA Chrome Mirror Cover Set for the 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade and 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado (MC40198)
QAA set MC40198 is a 2-piece chrome mirror cover kit that QAA catalogs for two GM vehicles: the 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade and the 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado. The two pieces are a pair of covers, so one kit takes care of the side mirrors in a single order.
Two vehicles, several body styles
QAA catalogs this set for both vehicles across the body styles shown in the Fitment tab: the 4-door SUV, plus 2-door and 4-door pickup truck configurations. The model-year ranges differ. The Escalade covers 2002 to 2006, while the Silverado starts earlier, at 1999, and also runs through 2006. Check your exact year against the right row in the Fitment tab, because a Silverado built before 2002 is covered here but an Escalade from those earlier years is not. If you are unsure which mirror your vehicle has, call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811 before you order.
Material: chrome-plated ABS
Unlike most of QAA's stainless steel trim, these mirror covers are made from chrome-plated ABS plastic and are imported. ABS is molded, which suits the rounded, three-dimensional shape of a mirror housing better than flat-cut sheet steel would. The chrome plating gives the bright finish. If you are matching other trim on the truck or SUV, keep in mind that these are plated plastic, not polished stainless. We list the material plainly so there are no surprises when the box arrives.
Why mirror covers
The side mirrors are some of the most visible pieces on a full-size truck or SUV. They sit at the widest point of the vehicle and right at eye level. Swapping painted or textured mirror caps for chrome is one of the quickest ways to change the look of an Escalade or Silverado, and it pairs naturally with chrome grilles, door handle covers, and other bright accents.
Mounting
Each cover attaches with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without damaging the surface of the vehicle. Each cover is cut to the mirror housing, so installation comes down to cleaning the mirror, test-fitting the cover, and pressing it into place. The Installation tab gives a short order of work. Do the left and right covers one at a time so they don't get mixed up, and give each one a final firm press along its edges.
Details at a glance
The Specs tab lists part number MC40198, its UPC, the two-piece count, the chrome-plated ABS material, and its imported origin. The FAQ tab covers whether the set is metal or plastic and why two different vehicles share one part. For a 1999-2006 Silverado or a 2002-2006 Escalade with the matching mirror housings, this set adds a chrome finish to both mirrors in one order.
Reference numbers: part number MC40198, UPC 691821449323. Both are repeated in the Specs tab, so you can match this listing against a parts list or an earlier order without guessing.

Installation tips: Mirror Cover Set
- Unpack all 2 pieces and match each one to its position on the vehicle, using the product photos, before fitting any of them.
- Each piece mounts with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, so clean and dry the mounting surface first; the tape needs paint or trim free of dirt and wax.
- Align the piece and press it firmly into place, working along its full length so the tape bonds evenly.
- Fit one piece at a time and compare each with the product photos and the pieces already in place.
These are general tips. Follow any instructions packed with your kit if they differ.
