Tow Mirror Top Covers for Silverado & Sierra (MC54182)
Tow mirrors get their own set. MC54182's note reads "Tow Mirrors, Top only," which tells you two things at once: these chrome covers are meant for trucks fitted with tow mirrors, and they cover the top portion of each housing rather than the whole shell. If your Silverado or Sierra has standard mirrors, this isn't the listing to start with.
Fitment, and a tag conflict
Three rows are listed: the Chevrolet Silverado from 2014 to 2018, the Chevrolet Silverado (1500 LD) for 2019, and the GMC Sierra from 2014 to 2018. Each row carries a long tag list: 2-door, 4-door, pickup truck, 1500, 2500, 3500, Extended Cab and "1500 LD Model only."
Those tags pull in different directions. The series tags name 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks, while the last tag says 1500 LD only, and both appear on every row. The catalog doesn't say which applies to which year. We've flagged it. Two pieces, chrome-plated ABS plastic with a polished finish, imported. They mount with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape. QAA states the tape will hold for a lifetime without causing any damage to the surface of the vehicle. No dimensions are recorded, so the photos show how far the top covers extend.

Fitting top covers on tow mirrors
Prepare the housings: repair any chipped or flaking paint, wash with soap and water, dry, and wipe with rubbing alcohol. Set the cover on the top of the mirror by hand and check that its edge runs evenly from the front of the truck and from the cab. Mark the outline with painter's tape. Line up the cover and press firmly along every edge. Fit the second cover and compare.

Care
Use mild soap, water and a soft cloth on the chrome. Abrasive pads and harsh chemicals can scratch the plating.
