Product Description
Silverado and Sierra Chrome Mirror Covers (MC54181)
MC54181 is a two-piece chrome mirror cover set listed for Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups. It's the set on this sheet without the "Tow Mirrors, Top only" note, which belongs to its sibling, MC54182. Beyond that, the record is thin, and there are a few things you should know before ordering.
Fitment rows
- Chevrolet Silverado, 2014 through 2018
- Chevrolet Silverado (1500 LD), 2019 only
- GMC Sierra, 2014 through 2018
Every row carries the same tag list: 2-door, 4-door, pickup truck, Extended Cab and "1500 LD Model only." That last tag fits the 2019 row's name, but it also appears on the 2014 to 2018 rows, and the catalog doesn't explain whether it limits those years too. We've flagged the combined tags. If your truck isn't a 1500, or you're unsure how the tags apply, call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811 before ordering. The title names both trucks without years.
Mounting isn't listed
This listing doesn't name a mounting method. Its sibling MC54182 is listed with 3M automotive-grade acrylic foam tape, but that line is missing here: the record has no tape line and no snap-on note, so we can't tell you from the catalog how these covers attach. That's flagged as well. The photos may help, but please call before ordering if mounting matters to you, and we'll check.
What is listed
The kit is a pair of chrome covers. Material is ABS plastic, chrome plated and polished, imported. There are no notes about coverage, a turn signal opening or dimensions.
MC54181 or MC54182?
MC54182 is the other 2-piece set on this sheet. Its note reads "Tow Mirrors, Top only," and its rows have 1500, 2500 and 3500 tags. MC54181 has no tow mirror note. If your truck has tow mirrors, look at MC54182's page and photos first. If it has standard mirrors, compare MC54181's photos with yours.
Other parts for these trucks
The sheet also links DH54183, a 3-piece Tailgate Handle Cover Kit noted as not including camera access; DH54184, a 2-piece Tailgate Handle Cover Kit noted as including camera access; PP54184, a 4-piece Pillar Post Trim; and RW54181, a 2-piece set of Sliding Rear Window Trim Accents for trucks with a sliding rear window. Both tailgate kits also carry a "Door Handle Cover" note that we've flagged as a naming issue. Each part has its own page.
Preparing the mirrors
Whatever the attachment turns out to be, start with clean housings. Wash with soap and water, dry, and check for chips or cracks. Compare each cover with its mirror and the photos before fitting, and keep each cover where the photos place it.
Your pre-order checklist
- Truck: Silverado or Sierra in a listed year, or a 2019 Silverado (1500 LD)
- Series: confirm how the 1500 LD tag applies to your truck
- Mirrors: standard, not tow mirrors
- Mounting: call to confirm, since none is listed
Care
Wash the chrome with mild soap and a soft cloth. Abrasive pads and harsh chemicals can scratch it.
