Product Description
2013 Nissan Altima Sedan Chrome ABS Grille Overlay, Six Pieces (SGC13550)
SGC13550 is a six-piece chrome plated ABS plastic grille overlay listed for a single model year: the 2013 Nissan Altima sedan. The title and the fitment record both write that year as "2013-2013," so if you own an Altima from any other year, please call before ordering.
Just one model year
One-year fitment is narrow. Grilles are sometimes revised from year to year, and this record covers 2013 only. An Altima from the year before or after isn't listed, and the data doesn't say whether it would fit. Call Quality Automotive Trims at 877-752-3811 and we'll check.
Material
"High Quality Chrome Plated ABS Plastic - Imported," according to the listing. This is plated plastic, not stainless steel, and it is imported rather than part of QAA's made-in-USA line. No adhesive tape or thickness is listed.
Six pieces
The record lists six pieces, with no dimensions and no layout description. Six pieces suggests several separate sections, but the photos are the only reliable guide to where each one goes. Compare them with your own grille.
Fitment details
Nissan Altima, 4-door sedan, 2013. No trim exclusions are listed.
Mounting isn't described
QAA's listing says "Easy installation! Cut to perfection & Polished to a Mirror Shine" but doesn't say how the six pieces attach. Call 877-752-3811 before buying so you know what the job involves.
Nothing linked
No other parts are tied to this listing in the catalog.
Sorting six parts
With six pieces, organization matters. Lay them out on a towel in the order shown in the photos and label each with painter's tape before you start. It's easy to swap two similar-looking parts.
Preparation
Wash and dry the grille, including the edges of each opening. Remove old wax from the surfaces you'll be working on so nothing interferes with a clean fit.
Trial fit all six
Hold every piece in place before fixing any of them. Step back and check that the spacing looks even across the grille. Correct anything now; it's much harder later.
Care for chrome plating
Wash with mild soap and a soft cloth, then dry. Don't use metal polish, rubbing compound or abrasive pads on plated ABS.
If you're unsure about your year
Your model year is on the registration and on a label in the door jamb. If it reads anything other than 2013, give us a call so we can check before you order.
Want stainless instead?
If you'd prefer polished steel to plated plastic, ask whether QAA lists a stainless grille piece for your Altima.
How plating differs from polished steel
A chrome plated surface is a thin bright layer over the plastic underneath. It looks like chrome from a few feet away, and it stays that way with gentle care. Unlike solid steel, it can't be polished back if the plating is scratched through, so handle the six pieces by their edges and set them on something soft while you work. A little caution here keeps the finish looking right for a long time.
