Putting it on
It mounts with adhesive tape. Your drill stays in the toolbox. A clean, dry, wax-free surface is the key step. Trim Illusion lists the material as ABS plastic.
What it changes
The grille is the face of the vehicle. The factory grille remains underneath as the base. Gloss black gives a deeper, more uniform appearance. It suits black wheels and tinted windows.
Expect a box about 46.0 inches long. It is cheaper than painting or dipping trim. Quote ABS6597BLK and we can look it up immediately.
Avoid scouring compounds on the finish. Lay all pieces out before starting.
Use the gallery to check the outline against your own vehicle. Have your VIN or trim handy and call 877-752-3811.
Trim upgrades are among the most popular exterior changes. It makes the change visible from the street.
Shipping is free within the contiguous United States. Ordering the right part the first time avoids returns.
Check that the finish is what you expected before you begin. Mark reference points with painter's tape if it helps. A final walk-around confirms everything sits even.
It goes through regular washing with the rest of the vehicle. Automatic brush washes are harder on trim than hand washing.
It is aimed at drivers who like a personalized vehicle. It does not require a lift or a garage full of equipment. It changes the vehicle's character in a small but clear way.
Compared with painting, a cover is the quicker route. The vehicle stays drivable the whole time.
A second person helps with alignment on larger pieces. It photographs well, which matters if you sell later.
Lower-48 delivery is free on this item. Confirming the year and trim first saves time.
Body shops charge by the hour for finish changes. No masking or overspray to deal with.
After installation, there is nothing special to maintain. Road salt rinses off easily with plain water.
Trim is where many factory cost cuts show.
Read any instructions in the package before beginning. Test the fit before anything is pressed home. Clean up with a soft cloth at the end.
